Profit & Loss Calculator
Enter your trade exactly as you plan it — direction, entry, exit and size — and see the expected profit or loss in the quote currency and your account currency.
How is this calculated?
P/L = price move × lots × contract size (positive when the trade direction matches the move)
- For a buy trade the move is exit minus entry; for a sell trade it is entry minus exit.
- The result is computed directly on the price move, so it stays exact even when the move is not a whole number of pips.
- The percentage return is measured against the position value, not the margin you deposited.
Frequently asked questions
Is the percentage return calculated on margin?
No — it is calculated on the full position value. That keeps it independent of leverage and comparable across account setups.
Does this include spread, commission or swap?
No. Those costs depend on your broker and account type, so they are left out. Treat the result as the gross P/L of the price move.
Can I use it for partial closes?
Yes — calculate each part separately with its own lot size and add the results.
